As our skin becomes less elastic with age, we may develop loose and unsightly skin folds and wrinkles around the chin, jawline and neck. When this happens we look older, worn down, and can feel like a walking exhibit on the effects of gravity.

As featured in Cosmopolitan Magazine, the Mini Facelift or MiniLift, developed by Dr. Bisaccia and Dr. Scarborough of Affiliated Dermatology, can correct the effects of aging and restore a youthful appearance. Ideal for individuals coming into their 50s, the MiniLift can improve the neck-chin angle and restore a tight jawline for those noticing more advanced signs of aging.

MiniLifts are performed in our fully accredited outpatient centers by Dr. Scarborough and Dr. Bisaccia. The patient receives light sedation and local anesthesia so they remain comfortable throughout the 1 to 1-1/2 hour procedure. After a brief rest and instruction on home care, patients go home the same day. Post procedure discomfort is relieved with cold compresses and medication.

Patients are instructed to rest for a few days, and are usually ready to return to work and normal activities within a week. Complete results of the MiniLift are not apparent for a few weeks, as the skin and underlying tissue heal and tighten.

MiniLifts can be combined with Microliposuction, to safely remove small fatty deposits and improve the contour of the face, jowls and neck. The MiniLift can help patients avoid the need for the much more surgically intensive full facelift procedure.
